Human Resources (HR) Specialist
Seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an HR Specialist for general administration, leave planning and rotations, and travel coordinator duties in accordance with company standards and procedures and in compliance with the project Statement of Work requirements. Candidate will report directly to the Regional Program Manager. This position will be based out of Mogadishu, Somalia. The duration of this contract will be approximately three and half years. The duties and responsibilities herein are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
Responsibilities include:
- Establishes, maintains, and updates employee records.
- Mediates employee relations issues in consultation with Regional Program Manager.
- Compiles, maintains records, and prepare submittal documentation for recruiting activities.
- Dual hat as travel coordinator for all mobilization, demobilization, and R&R travel.
- Maintaining confidentiality on all personnel related issues.
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements – Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in Legal Research, Labor Code and Human Resource Management.
- Excellent communication and research skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible, and persistent on follow up tasks.
- Performs assigned tasks with punctuality and self-discipline.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent knowledge in both the written and spoken English languages.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate in austere environment for protracted periods.
