As one of the multi-sectoral local organizations in Somalia, Nomadic Development Organization (NODO) help vulnerable communities in distress and turn their crisis to opportunities and self-reliance. We help communities recover from disaster, build resilient communities, strengthen their capacity to with stand sudden shocks and find their own solutions.
NODO works in emergency response programs Including Health, WASH, Nutrition, Education in Emergency (EIE) and Resilience programs including climate change adaptation and Environmental conservation among others. We help internally displaced women and girls access safe spaces and dignified case managements. Nomadic Development Organization (NODO) is implementing an integrated Health and WASH project titled ‘Provision of integrated lifesaving WASH and Health services to conflict affected population in Xudun district of Sool region’ in partnership with OCHA Somalia.
NODO is currently looking to hire a skilled and knowledgeable consultant to handle post-distribution monitoring of the Health/Wash project in Xudun district funded by SHF. Under the direct supervision of the program manager, the Incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of the distribution process to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collecting and analyzing data related to the distribution of goods or services.
- Monitoring the distribution activities to identify any issues or challenges that may arise.
- Developing and implementing monitoring tools and methodologies to track the progress and impact of the distribution.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on the distribution process.
- Generating comprehensive reports and presenting findings to management or clients.
- Providing recommendations for improvements or corrective actions based on the monitoring results.
- Ensuring compliance with project objectives, guidelines, and standards throughout the distribution process.
- Offering guidance and support to field staff or partners involved in the distribution.
- Keeping up-to-date with best practices and trends in post-distribution monitoring to enhance effectiveness.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in post-distribution monitoring or a related field.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
